Iron Fist Daytime Sleeper Creeper Review /Unboxing

It is my 8 year anniversary with my fiancee! ūüėÄ As a treat he gave me a lovely gift of these shoes that I have been eyeing up, the Iron Fist Daytime Sleeper Creepers. My boyfriend actually managed to get these in the sale at only ¬†¬£35.99 rather than the original price of ¬£52.99. Also if you sign up to their newsletter you get an extra 15% off. Which¬†pretty much pays off the delivery fee and cheeky VAT that they add at the checkout.

Iron Fist Daytime Sleeper Creeper Review

This box was covered in gray plastic, but my boyfriend removed that and wrapped in wrapping paper. IronFist has very pretty packaging  and its all nicely wrapped with branded tissue paper. There is also scrunched up cardboard paper inside the shoes to keep their structure.

Gorgeous shoes!¬†I don’t mind paying a bit extra when you get shoes that have pushed the design and you get something unique and interesting. Added details on these shoes are the brogue design looks like bats. There are attached bat wings and the sole is coffin shaped.

Pros:

  • A unique shoe, I have never seen anyone with these before.
  • Very sturdy although not too heavy as they use a thick foam for the sole.
  • Vegan ‘Leather’
  • Bat wings are removable and I could wear them on other shoes.

Cons:

  • They are a lot higher (1 1/2 inches ish) than normal creepers, so I will have to get a hang of walking in them.
  • The shoes needs a bit breaking in, especially the back as it rubs a little.
  • I did have a fault with the shoe…..
The Fault

The problem with my shoes was that I found a small nick on the underside of one of the bat wing.

My fiancee emailed the company and they responded straight away. They apologised profusely and said they would send me a new pair, no extra charge. Unfortunately there wasn’t a new pair in stock in my size. So, I could either send them back and get a full refund or get 20% refunded if I decided to keep them. I decided to keep them as the damage is really minimal, you couldn’t see it when worn and I still loved the shoes.

Although, there was problems with the shoe and it was disappointing. I cannot fault the staff for trying to fix the problem.

In conclusion I LOVE these shoes and cant wait till I feel confident enough in my walking abilities to wear them without falling over! I am currently wearing them around the house!

March Best Buys

I am going to share with you my fashion purchases for March.  I think I was quite a thrifty buyer this month getting some good deals in the sales.

I got the jumpers from H&M sale. The two pastel jumpers are like my blue one I got in January and I like it so much that when I saw them for £4 each I had to snap up that bargain. I also needed a plain black cardigan for when I start my new job, so when I saw this baggy cardigan down to £7 from £15 it was perfect.

Whilst doing the 30 days of fashion challenge one of days’ challenges was to choose my favourite t-shirt. I realised I didn’t have many t-shirts to choose from at all. So when I saw these ¬†in Primark for only ¬£2 I brought two as the weather is starting to warm up and I need some more cooler clothing.

I got this cute jumper from a charity shop for only £1.50. Its a strange fit with elasticated bottom and arms which are very tight and the rest of it is really baggy. Hopefully I can find a  to make this work as I love the pattern.

Lastly, I brought this comb. It is a life(hair) changer! I backcomb my hair to get it into a huge ball of mess which I love. Bigger the better. This comb allows me to get it bigger than I thought previously possible and it maintains it for longer with no droop!

Style Me…Decora

My Hair Accessories

Today I had a good re-organise of my jewelry and hair accessories. I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to do a post on all my accessories as promised from day 19 of the  30 days of fashion challenge.

Although, I have a lot of hair pieces I am a bit of a hoarder and these are from many years of being in the alternative fashion scene and having big crazy hair styles. There are also quite a few handmade pieces which will hopefully inspire you to make your own.

February Buys

I haven’t brought much this month, but I think what I have gotten is super cute!

Pusheen T’shirts! Primark ¬£6 Hello/¬£8 Mermaid

I haven’t got many t-shirt so these are going to be perfect for the summer! They are so cute and I love little pusheen! ¬†The mermaid version has a faded pink to white background too, so its perfect for pastelly fairy kei style days.

Fluffy Blue Petticoat! Charity Shop £4

I got so lucky and found this petticoat for only ¬£4! It doesn’t look used and it is really puffy, with loads of layers. Usually a petticoat this long and full would be around ¬£30, so I am really happy with this purchase. It is quite long which is a shame it doesn’t work with most of my skirts, however it will be perfect for my¬†dress/skirt from Lindy Bop.

Moisturising Cream/Eye Gel Boots 3 for £3

So my partner needed some face wash and this stuff was cheap and it had the deal for 3 for ¬£3 so we thought we would get the face wash and ¬†and get a few other bits. I needed something for my eyes as I have been getting really bad eye bags lately. I didn’t expect these to work that great; they where cheap and in the essential range. However these have worked amazingly! My skin feels smoother and is brighter and the skin under my eye doesn’t feel so thin. I also have very sensitive skin and have had no break outs from using these. ¬†So I would definitely recommend these products for a cheap alternative from the expensive brands.
