STRESS

Just to say sorry guys no Style Me Thursdays this week and maybe next week and even the week after that.

Last week my partner and I was told that my landlord is selling up and we need to find somewhere else and quickly. All very stressful and hectic, don’t even get me started on how awful estate agents and renting is here in the UK.

Wish me luck. I feel like I need positive vibes.

OOTD Car Boot Fair

Yay! The sun is out, spring is here and that means the boot fairs are starting again! I love car boot fairs. You can grab some amazing bargains.

I didn’t find much at the boot fair, but I did find this cute velvety bag for only 30p!

Blouse: £4 H&M

Jumper: £4 H&M

Skirt: £35 Spindoctor

This look was influenced by the ‘style me’ challenges I have been doing every week. The hair is from my Nu-Goth look. The skirt is very old and is starting to show its age, it was resigned to the ‘old clothes that I love but cant face chucking away’ draw. However, since doing my steampunk style me challenge I fell in love with high waisted layered skirts again. So this Spindoctor skirt has come out from hiding. It has been given a bit of love; deep washed, de-bobbled and ribbon tatty ends trimmed, it still looks aged but is much more wearable.

I really want more of these type of skirts so if anyone knows of any brands, cheap shops, ebay auctions etc then please let me know.

Style me….Country Lolita (Easter Special)

March Best Buys

I am going to share with you my fashion purchases for March.  I think I was quite a thrifty buyer this month getting some good deals in the sales.

I got the jumpers from H&M sale. The two pastel jumpers are like my blue one I got in January and I like it so much that when I saw them for £4 each I had to snap up that bargain. I also needed a plain black cardigan for when I start my new job, so when I saw this baggy cardigan down to £7 from £15 it was perfect.

Whilst doing the 30 days of fashion challenge one of days’ challenges was to choose my favourite t-shirt. I realised I didn’t have many t-shirts to choose from at all. So when I saw these  in Primark for only £2 I brought two as the weather is starting to warm up and I need some more cooler clothing.

I got this cute jumper from a charity shop for only £1.50. Its a strange fit with elasticated bottom and arms which are very tight and the rest of it is really baggy. Hopefully I can find a  to make this work as I love the pattern.

Lastly, I brought this comb. It is a life(hair) changer! I backcomb my hair to get it into a huge ball of mess which I love. Bigger the better. This comb allows me to get it bigger than I thought previously possible and it maintains it for longer with no droop!

Vintage Fair! OOTD

So last weekend I went to a vintage fair in the small town near me. It was great fun even though I was expecting a lot more stalls. Sadly I stupidly forgot to take any pictures of the event itself despite me taking my camera! I did however get a picture of me all dressed up in my outfit.

Day 28- Embarssing Outfit 30 Day Fashion Challenge

It is day 28 and there will be no pictures in this blog post! My most embarrassing outfit would have to be when I worked at Boots and I had to wear the most ugliest uniform in the world. It wasn’t just the unflattering fit or the fact that it was trousers, it was the plasticyness of the material, so scratchy, to cold in the winter, to hot and sweaty in the summer and the white always looked gray and dirty. Hideous!

Day 26- A Mismatched Outfit 30 Days Fashion Challenge

Day 26 and it is make a mismatched outfit which I would never wear. I thought I would try and still make it my style with the blouses and jumper and cute necklace, but with clashing and garish colours.

Day 23 Lucky Clothing 30 Day Fashion Challenge

I not a superstitious person and so I don’t really have any lucky clothing. I do however have this necklace from Nastalgame  that I got my fiancee for Christmas. He has one half and I the other, so it’s a nice thing to wear and think that we both have one on when we are not together.

Day 22- Something you only wear in summer 30 Day Fashion Challenge

Something I only wear in summer. This is a difficult question because my style doesn’t change much when it comes to summer. I usually just loose the jumpers and long socks. I usually hate summer clothing and much prefer winter styles. Luckily in the UK we have a couple of heat waves and the rest of the time I get away with cardigans.

This is quite a thin dress so it doesn’t get worn in the winter:
