It is time for the Thursday’s style me challenge. Where I look at an alternative style and try to recreate it. This week I am looking at the fun fashion that is Steampunk.
Today as promised in previous blog posts we shall be looking at my jewellery collection. Some of these pieces are well worn however some of them are over years old and I’ve kept onto them because I have liked them so much.
I have created a challenge for myself to look into, learn and play around with different alternative styles, Style Me Thursdays. Every Thursday I thought it would be fun to look into a different style. I think as well as learning about new fashions I will also be add new things to my own wardrobe. My own style changes a lot I find myself buying things that I like rather than fitting in with a certain aesthetic. I am also going make an item of clothing or accessory that will go with that style.
So today I am going to look into a relatively new fashion style….
Day 27 and it’s hat time. I have to pick the most of extravagant hat I own! My friend made everyone one of these little hats as part of her Christmas party . It is really cool with miniature top hat with flowers, birds, buttons, feathers and brooches. On the other hand it is so heavy! It basically kills my head to wear it. Cute for a party nevertheless.

Day 26 and it is make a mismatched outfit which I would never wear. I thought I would try and still make it my style with the blouses and jumper and cute necklace, but with clashing and garish colours.
I am an trying to sew a lot more of my clothes or alter clothing from charity shops, in 2017 I want to try and make more of my own clothing trying more and more complex things. Here is a blouse that I altered from GAP which I found in a charity shop.
