It is time for the Thursday’s style me challenge. Where I look at an alternative style and try to recreate it. This week I am looking at the fun fashion that is Steampunk.
Today as promised in previous blog posts we shall be looking at my jewellery collection. Some of these pieces are well worn however some of them are over years old and I’ve kept onto them because I have liked them so much.
I have been busy making flower headbands and I thought you would all like to have a look at what I have been making.
They are delicate and Intricate and mainly made of paper. They are more for for special occasions rather than every day use. So they are perfect for weddings, proms and photo shoots
They are decorated with; hand painted details, shells, gems and beaded stamens.
Mermaid Headband and fins

It is Style Me Thursdays, where I look at an alternative style and try to recreate it and today I am looking at the Japanese fashion, Decora. From the dark colours of Nu-Goth last week I thought I would bring some brightness by looking at the crazy fun that is Decora.
Today I had a good re-organise of my jewelry and hair accessories. I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to do a post on all my accessories as promised from day 19 of the 30 days of fashion challenge.
Although, I have a lot of hair pieces I am a bit of a hoarder and these are from many years of being in the alternative fashion scene and having big crazy hair styles. There are also quite a few handmade pieces which will hopefully inspire you to make your own.
I have created a challenge for myself to look into, learn and play around with different alternative styles, Style Me Thursdays. Every Thursday I thought it would be fun to look into a different style. I think as well as learning about new fashions I will also be add new things to my own wardrobe. My own style changes a lot I find myself buying things that I like rather than fitting in with a certain aesthetic. I am also going make an item of clothing or accessory that will go with that style.
So today I am going to look into a relatively new fashion style….
In this post I will be looking at my five favourite weird and wonderful bags that are on my wishlist.
So last weekend I went to a vintage fair in the small town near me. It was great fun even though I was expecting a lot more stalls. Sadly I stupidly forgot to take any pictures of the event itself despite me taking my camera! I did however get a picture of me all dressed up in my outfit.
With cute eyeliner flicks and bright red lippy to create that 40s look.

I haven’t brought much this month, but I think what I have gotten is super cute!
Pusheen T’shirts! Primark £6 Hello/£8 Mermaid
I haven’t got many t-shirt so these are going to be perfect for the summer! They are so cute and I love little pusheen! The mermaid version has a faded pink to white background too, so its perfect for pastelly fairy kei style days.
Fluffy Blue Petticoat! Charity Shop £4
I got so lucky and found this petticoat for only £4! It doesn’t look used and it is really puffy, with loads of layers. Usually a petticoat this long and full would be around £30, so I am really happy with this purchase. It is quite long which is a shame it doesn’t work with most of my skirts, however it will be perfect for my dress/skirt from Lindy Bop.
Moisturising Cream/Eye Gel Boots 3 for £3
So my partner needed some face wash and this stuff was cheap and it had the deal for 3 for £3 so we thought we would get the face wash and and get a few other bits. I needed something for my eyes as I have been getting really bad eye bags lately. I didn’t expect these to work that great; they where cheap and in the essential range. However these have worked amazingly! My skin feels smoother and is brighter and the skin under my eye doesn’t feel so thin. I also have very sensitive skin and have had no break outs from using these. So I would definitely recommend these products for a cheap alternative from the expensive brands.

So I did it, all 30 days! It was great fun as I got to have a real sort through my wardrobe and discover something that I had previously forgotten. I hope you enjoyed it and if you missed any or want to join in here is the list.
